ENGLAND SOUTHEAST FROM WHITEHAWK to COOMBE HILL
AQUARIUS to the SOUTH POLE
TIFINAG SCRIPT LEWES
First-time users please read the Index Page thoroughly for understanding.

The far south and southeast of England mark the stars from Aries
to the stars along Pisces, Aquarius, and Capricorn - and, incredibly - CONTINUING through from there to the stars near the South Pole.
The stargazers of Ancient Britain obviously sailed far enough south in
prehistoric days to view the South Pole and the its stars.
These stars are not marked by megaliths, since this is a region of Great Britain with few available large stones.
Hence, the ancients used small circular earth mounds called tumuli
(singular tumulus) and barrows (longish larger earth mounds)
and other unique markings on land shown e.g. at Lewes.
For this part of England, we have tried to incorporate ALL tumuli and barrows
and other ancient landmarks such as earthworks into the analysis
and leave nothing relevant out.
It all FITS - like a custom- made glove.
There is no doubt about the accuracy of the general picture,
though there may be errors on a particular star.
LEWES At Lewes, there are symbols marked on land which show that the
megalithic builders at some time could write in syllables, and these
syllables are still marked on English soil - at Lewes this is the prow of a ship, followed by a moon-like symbol, a flat symbol, a
pyramid-type symbol and again a flat symbol. These symbols
seem to be comparable to Egyptian hieroglyphs.
We can read these symbols, they are so-called Tifinag script.
The syllabic values here and in Pharaonic Egyptian are the same.
The prow - ANGLE - of the ship, is GN /SHN and is KN in Pharaonic.
The pyramid-type symbol here is MR - and also MR in Pharaonic.
The "flat symbol" we transcribe as N - just as the water hieroglyph N.
N is the value Barry Fell (see below) gives to the flat sign.
The symbols which thus read gno-mo-n are the same as Egyptian CHNUM
Capricorn is thus the "boat" of heaven at this position.
CHNUM (GNOMON) at Lewes is combined with MER-N which is MERIENS in Indo-European e.g. Latvian meaning "measure".
The entire ancient text at Lewes thus reads something like
GNO-MAI-N MERI-N
"the measure of the [change of] the wall, or boat [of heaven]". In Latvian this is UGUNU MAINA MERIENS "[heavenly] fire change measure"
The syllabic value I have assigned to the symbols is pretty much the
same as the value given to similar "Tifinag" symbols by Barry Fell,
former Harvard Professor, much attacked for his theories about Norse
script. I used to think Fell was wrong in his analysis - but I find
now that he is correct that the Ancient Norse did in fact have such a
script - and, indeed, FAR OLDER than even Fell had imagined.
In a great irony of ironies, Barry Fell was born on June 6, 1917 in
Lewes, Sussex, the very town which has the major markings on the
ground which correspond to his deciphered Tifinag script - and yet, he apparently did not know of these earthworks.
Only Megaliths.co.uk, Megaliths.net and Megaliths.de
are original megalithic decipherment sites
