 Below is the stone marking East at the middle cairn - facing outward from the cairn in a stone circle around the cairn. The round middle cairn with a circular hollow field inside has no entrance - as opposed to the other two so-called passage cairns which have entrances. This is because the middle cairn marks the immovalbe North Ecliptic Pole. The stone below marks the bucket of Aquarius at the rising of the winter solstice combined with a solar eclipse at this time. As can be seen, the stone is in the shape of a head with one cup mark marking the left eye - or it may just be intended as a bucket. The cupmarks at the top of the stone are the top stars of the bucket of Aquarius and the eye is the brightest star in Aquarius. The lower right corner has what might be the prow of a boat, which would be Capricorn, but this is uncertain. To the left there is a figure - the water bearer. To the right is a fish tail showing upward and the front of the fish is at the lower left of the photo - thus forming Picscis Austrinus.
